You showed us the Jennings inside and out. I didnt see the inside of the Mills, so I cant speak about the mech. Is there a reason we didnt get to see the inside of it?
As to the cabinets and casting, feel really sure they are original.

Hello; both look correct.
the term real or fake I think should be ... " correct or reworked / restored... ? "

the pay out plate on the Mills jewel is correct but, Is different a little than mine.
the reel strips in silver back round is correct. does it actually have it's Jack pot system ? if not deduct about $150.00 from the price tag, which is what it will cost to buy one.

the wood sides are the same colors as the front; half burgundy / half blue ; not black or natural wood color.
of course deduct $ $ for non original lock , ect.
not familiar with Jennings as much.
my 2 Jewel bells I paid $700.00 each = Which was a deal !! both unmolested, almost mint. advertised price is about $1,200.00.

if they are close to the same price range, buy the Jennings !!! you can find a Mills high top every day / any day , & cheap.
And Jennings are excellently made machines .

hope you get a good deal ! jeff H.
