Hello all, I am new to the forum and in the market for my first machine. I fell in love with this one, but am concerned it is a reproduction. It is so clean, and I can't find any others like it. Here is the url
https://www.rauantiques.com/mint-slot-machine
Any advice is appreciated.

EMT , Welcome to the forum !
Well , I'll just say their price is to high. Just a bit to clean to me too = restored at one time & untouched. a slot dealer would be about $3,200.00 - $3,400.00 for this, with the full knowledge that they restored it. all the "paper" is to new for starters.
but ,would be a very nice machine to own , good harder model to find.

Nice fully restored machine. Looks like the quality of papahog's machines on eBay, which frequently sell between $2,800 - $3,500.

I agree that it is a beautiful restoration. There are some detailed comments on this style of slot machine (Mills "Cross Diamond" with a Frank Costello tie-in) in response to a post of mine from last summer. Anglobritish and thepennyarcade included some nice photos as well. The variation that is being discussed here probably had a panel of lights in the jackpot area and was converted during the restoration. Check "Unusual Mills Revamp" in my posts for additional information.

Thanks everyone, the mills revamp thread was very interesting. I am set on buying a mint vendor, now just need to find one in my price range. Also found a beautiful Watling two pull at brights.

What are the best sight to look at? To purchase a machine? I really like Brights so far. Sam2002 where do you have your machines listed?

The fact that whoever restored it went crazy with a spray can of Sea Foam Green Rustoleum Hammertone paint would give me pause, especially the way they painted every square inch of the wood like that. It makes me wonder what all that paint is hiding. Are there cracked castings held together with epoxy, is there bondo or wood filler? You don't know.

It might be a very nice machine but you can't tell, and for what they're asking I don't think it's worth the gamble.
