I like the look of your machine enough that I have a few Pace Genies in my collection, including a four reeler. Your choice of a dime machine may not be the most desirable to some collectors, however, there are reasons to like the dime machines. Ten cent machines typically get a bad rap due to the old silver mercury dimes wearing down with age. The changing coin size was responsible for making the machines less dependable.
I like dime machines because: When my nieces and nephews come over they cannot clog them up with the wrong size coin, only a dime fits in a dime machine, No other coins (Pennies, nickels and quarters) will fit. Betting a dime back in the day was a pretty big deal so fewer dime where made. And, I also suspect that there may have been a dime machine or two changed to quarter machines by some of the slot machine hacks, making original dime machines even more scares.
Do not be disheartened by some of the “EXPERTS” on this site. Your machine is original and looks to be in good condition.
