I Have one of these built into a console!
I think it is very rare as most have the cast indian on the jackpot and the Dixie had the false jackpot instead of the Indian!

All Dixie Bells had the false jackpot. That is what makes it unique among the Jennings models. With yours being a floor console Jennings mounted the 'Dixie Bells' on the upper casting.

You don't have a true Dixie Bell. What you have is what we use to call a 'Scene Chief,' Jennings used up the bottom castings from Four Star Chiefs in the late 30's by putting them on their then new model machines. That Dixie bell casting could also have been an indian head.

Ignore my previous post. Yours is a true Dixie Bell. At first glance the bottom casting appeared to be an indian scene casting. Need new glasses.

I just oversprayed with a satin green paint trying to preserve the wrinkle finish. I think it turned out great. Yes it is a true Dixie bell. Original sticker still inside that says 5 cent Dixie Bell. Undated earlier post with new pictures.
