Newb with a 1949 Nevada Club Chief?

Postby phunkyjoey » Sat Jun 28, 2014 9:00 am

I was given an slot machine by a friend, and don't really know anything about them. This seems to be a Chief style Jennings. It has the cowboy head instead of a chief head on it. It doesn't work. From the outside, it looks like its in pretty good shape, but inside it looks like a few parts are broken/missing. Namely, it appears to be missing some of the mechanism for the arm lever to fire up the mechanical parts. A few of the springs that are present need to be replaced as well, but that doesnt seem like as big of a deal as the broken/missing parts. I've attached a pic of the front of the machine, and one of the internal side that looks like its missing something important. There is also a dropbox link with a few more pics. Anybody have any idea how hard this would be to fix up?

Really?
Your right. just a couple of springs and about a half a can of WD-40 and she'll be good as new.

if you dont wish to retain the machine, i would be happy to

purchase it and give it a sympathetic clean and restore it to

a fully working but in as is cosmetic condition.

let me know,

Thanks guys, I'm going to try and learn a little bit about the mechanics on how these work. I ordered a used copy of this book http://www.amazon.com/Owners-Pictorial- ... 0934422184 to try and learn a bit. If I decide not to keep it I'll contact you though, aristocrat. It's amazing how well made these old machine are.
