Here is a machine that most of us have never seen or even heard about before. It was custom made for the AKU AKU restaurant Stardust Hotel in Las Vegas 1960's. The machine used a Jennings CHIEF mechanism and a custom built cabinet by J.A. "Slim" Ewing. Very few were made. Somewhere between twelve and twenty four is the best guess. This one was found among some others in a Las Vegas back yard. An article about the Aku Aku machines can be found
in the May 1997 issue of Loose Change magazine. The writer was on a mission to find the "ugliest" slot machine and thought this was it. Ugly or not, it's a great piece of Las Vegas history.
