Recently bought this mabey nut vendor (1922). Has a unique chain pull operation which is
in fully working order along with the electrics. Does anyone have any further information on these machines and any idea how much ones worth?

The eat them hot was patten in 1934 and your machine is worth 200 to 250 dollars. Looks like a great machine to have.

Hi,
The Mabey Hot Nut machine was first advertised in Automatic Age in September 1925, Although I am the Official British Coin Machine Historian, I know very little about what is known as Bulk Vending, but according to the book Silent Salesmen Too it is listed as first patented in 1922, so 1925 would be a more realistic year of production, I would value it at the right auction at around $350.

In my new book "The Golden Age of Coin Operated Machines"-A Pictorial History of Early Amusement Games of the 1920-30's era, I date most of the pictures and original flyers in the book, from the actual first advertised dates.

Hope i was of some help, I have been active in the Coin Machine Industry for the last 60 odd years on a daily basis.

I too, have a Maybe Hot Nut Vendor.
Mine is the 1931 / 1932, aluminium version.
It is in near perfect condition.

I don't have the original red glass lens, mine is plastic
and I don't have the original globe hold down, and the correct light socket.
Plus, there wasn't a decal attached.

It does have the heaters and they work.
It is in excellent shape and works correctly.

I have included a picture of mine

and a patent for yours.

Upon looking at my vendor, I noticed that it doesn't display well, you can't see the Dixie cup vendor!!
I can re-post with another picture if wanted.
I count this vendor as one of my more unique vendors.
