Anyone have any info

Postby gamblingman » Sat Jun 27, 2015 8:51 pm

A picker brought me these this week. The Duval American Beauty is missing it's legs, but otherwise is in great shape. I've not seen the "Flip Skill" game before, so hoping someone out there has info on it. I don't usually collect these types of games, so any info, value, etc would be appreciated.

gamblingman:
Your "Flip Skill" was produced by Mills Novelty Co. in 1939. Fun game to play.
There are quite a few of these around, but not in great numbers.

Hi,
Your machine was made by Daval in June 1934, find attached a picture of the flyer. In my new book "Who Was Who in the 1930's" there is a page explaining how Daval and his company started and what they did, along with every other company who was in the coin macxhine industry in the 1930's.

Hope the the flyer will help you, you can see the style of the legs for the American Beauty, if you wanted to reproduce them.
