Got a call about 3 old slots for sale

Postby sledworks » Wed Feb 13, 2008 7:19 pm

Love getting these calls. Older lady wants to get rid of 3 old slots. About 15 miles away. She is not sure who made them but they are nickel, dime, and quarter. Been under tarp for years in basement and they are moving. No one ever plays them. Originally came out of some mens club or lodge.

I'll let you know what they are after I pickup. Probably 3 common Mills Hi Tops but that's Ok..it's still fun to get the call.

Visited the slots yesterday. They are 3 Mills Black Beauties. Nickel, dime quarter. Machines appear complete and solid but cosmetically they are rough. All seem to work but will need gone over.
I took a pic with my camera phone but it came out dark.

Any idea on value as they sit? I told the lady I'd put them in my antique market and try to sell them.

Astonishing - I finally found a use for MS Internet Explorer. It identifies the file as a JPG and displays it as a picture, whereas Firefox displays it as a bunch of text.

As you predicted, a set of hitops - I see they are manual jackpot fill. I'll defer to more informed members as to the value, but it's probably higher as a matched set of three than individually.
