Lock and key needed for "The Cardinal"

Postby markm7600 » Sat Jun 30, 2018 12:21 pm

Hi, I have a "The Cardinal" trade stimulator with perhaps an original lock (Watling MFG CO, Chicago), but no key. I'm looking to drill out the lock :( and replace it with a correct fit lock and key. I'm in the Denver area, but shipping would be fine.
Thanks,
-Mark

Did you consider picking the lock? I have done this many times using a "high-tech" lock pick. Once opened, the lock tumblers can be removed, leaving one or two tumblers intact to allow a different key to operate the lock. This way, the originality is preserved, even though the original key isn't.

I'm north of Denver if I can help.

So, with the help from a forum member, and a couple of YouTube videos, I was able to fashion lock picking tools and unlocked the lock!
