I have a nice all original, matching numbers dollar Sun Chief in its original floor model stand, price is $6500. Let me know if you have interest. This machine has original plating and plastics. It was not put together and is as it left the factory.

Thanks,

Watlingboy

Thanks for respnding Watlingboy, Lou has a nice table unit also all restored, but I am trying to find something for resale right now, but yours would be what I would want for myself to sit accross from my dollar prospector if I was going to be buying one for myself. I bet it's is a sweethart of a machine.

Hi - I have a HALF-dollar (50c) Sun Chief that is basically a New-Old-Stock machine. MINTY orig chrome, mech that looks new (really) - all numbers matching (of course) - hand load jackpot - tic-tac-toe - all original locks & keys. Jackpot meter is 00022! Found in a crate from estate of an operator. NEVER used in a casino or club. Asking $3,350 / open to offers. A gem of a machine.

Sure - thanks for asking.

Here is a link to an online album with photos of the Jennings Sun Chief. Again - as close to a "new old stock" machine as you would hope to find. Tic-Tac-Toe jackpot (original water decal on window). Hand load (original lock and key). Original cash box with lock and key. Original back door with lock and key. MINTY fresh all original mechanism. All matching serial numbers. Interior of cabinet is superb. Chrome is just spectacular.

For Jennings collectors looking for other nice examples - I'm also selling an authentic and all original Nevada Club Continental light-up. This is one of the ~450 final mechanical 3 reelers that Jennings made for the Nevada Club. Truly the end of an era. 5c denomination. Mint playing condition. Jackpot window has nickels as placeholder (it was a guaranteed jackpot at that point - so no mech installed). Original vintage green light up panels have beautiful marbeling and overall the machine gives a warm vintage glow that is spectacular. Chrome wear at the expected spots. A bit of chrome bubble at the head but it was like that when I bought the machine 7-8 years ago so it is stable and unoffensive.

Aren't the Sun Chief and the Export Chief two different machines? I am fairly new to the hobby, but I do believe they were two different machine. You show a Export Chief tag in a Sun Chief Machine.

Thanks for your inquiry about the Sun Chief. It certainly is an anomaly to have the paper label listing the machine as an Export Chief. I spoke with the collector I bought the machine from originally. He's a noted expert on Jennings. He said that these kinds of errors did happen in the factory - - and the key to showing that this is all original is that there is a HAND LOAD stamp on the paper label along with the serial number. Export Chiefs NEVER had a hand load jackpot - so it's clear that even though the paper says Export Chief, this machine left the Jennings Factory as a proper Sun Chief. I hope this helps - thanks again for the inquiry. Let me know if you have any other questions.
