Watling 50c Rol a Top * Survivor * Unrestored Gem

Postby CoinOpNut » Thu Dec 03, 2015 2:22 pm

Offering for sale a very nice all original Watling Rol a Top.

Half dollar (50c) denomination - the highest denomination made by Watling.

A true "survivor" - this machine retains much of the beautiful original lacquer paint that makes the Rol a Top so desirable.

Serial number is stamped into the wooden case and also is written onto the original paper label glued into the cabinet.

Mechanism and jackpot assembly have been lubed, coin slides have been removed and cleaned, and the machine plays and pays off as it should.

I have lots of photos available as well as a video of the machine in action - feel free to ring me or message me to discuss.

I would not recommend ruining good collectable half dollar coins by playing them in a slot machine. The half dollar coins that cost $7 each, work and gets the same effect as the $15 dollar coin that is now dinged up from playing it. Wear thickness will determine how many are fit and are paid out, hence the range on the payout card and a slight variance in total quantity. That era of coin was 90% silver and tended to wear quicker than current coin metal. 100 - 140 coins would be a good start and at $7 each that is just south of $1000.00.

Very nice example of an all original 'hard-to-find' model. 50c "Rol-A-Tops" do not surface very often.
