Caille LaComete mech pictures needed

Postby Rick-okc » Fri May 29, 2015 3:57 pm

I just started working on a Caille LaComete I had bought about two years ago.
Does anyone have any good quality, high resolution, pictures of the mech for this machine or one like it?
This is my first single reel and I know nothing about them.
Trying to figure out how it works and if I'm missing any parts.
Are there any manuals or paper work describing their operation?

Love to see pics of what you have.... some of us are ok at figuring out things just by looking.

Thanks Dave for the suggestion. Why didn't I think of that.
I have 25 pictures of the mech that I just placed up on my Flickr web page.
Here is a link: https://www.flickr.com/photos/65092150@N00/albums
These were shot about 6 months ago. Since then, I've had the area where you see the wire holding thing together fixed.
I played with the mech this afternoon and I think everything is there.
Just needs a good cleaning, lube, and adjustment.
It's very sluggish, but with assistance will pretty much cycle thru.

If anyone sees anything and can offer advice, I'd greatly appreciate it.
