Marbles instead of Gumballs

I'm replacing all the gumballs in my machines with marbles - does anyone know what the best size is? :D

I would say; the same size as the gum balls you are replacing.

A lot of the marbles today do not look like gum balls; they look like marbles.
Try garage sale/thrift shops for old Chinese Checkers games;
they can provide a stash of solid colored marbles that look like gum balls.

I will add a comment based on my experience. I have four slots with gum ball venders. Two had gumballs and I wanted to get all of the broken candy out (Superior Confection machine and Little Duke). Thought the solid color marble approach would be easy - - - - but not the case. Typical marbles such as Chinese Checkers replacements are too small. The Little Duke vender is especially sensitive to size and the smaller marbles will jam quickly. I have not yet found a good source of marbles that are as large as typical gumballs. Anyone else have a suggestion?

I'm guessing dime sized 17 mm marbles will work

Obviously, marbles come in different sizes.

I just compared my stash of Chinese Checker marbles with the original gum balls in my Little Poker Face.
They are identical in size (of course the gum balls may have shriveled up over the decades).

I was thinking the question referred to replacements in the display window found on many machines.
I would NOT recommend using marbles in machines that actually dispense them and say Gum;
sooner or later one of the grandkids (or someone at your party with too many beers) is going to pop a marble in their mouth thinking it is gum when you're not looking.
Now you're stuff with a dental bill.

I use the 9/16 size for my trade stimulators. They are the same size as the gumballs. Below is the site that I buy from. They have quality glass marbles made by Marble King.
