Oliver I only have a few minutes. The Jubilee !! Wanted to know if you put the rakeoff arm back through the slot in the top rear of the coin tube? Only because I always forget to do that and it makes me talk about myself.

Oliver Just a thought !! Before resuming the tracing of the short. Try metering the switch at the coin entry. Test each wire from the switch to the machine chassis, The meter will go to 0 if the short is present. If you get a reading to 0 then unsolder the wire from the switch and test it again. If you get no reading then test the detached wire. which ever gives the 0 reading is the side the sort is on. Still busy but this is hopefully a time saver. Later Jim

Hi Oliver Yes the 3 wires on the back of the switch. Pull back the small plastic sleeves then put them back when finished.

Hi Jim hope you are doing ok, well i tested those 3 wires and they all came up without a fault, so i guess we have to follow that wire back from socket 4 IE follow the fault i guess, with that following the wire after testing the tab for the fault i am guessing i follow the wire back and test it bit by bit for the fault and just keep following the wire, not sure though will wait for your advice when you are ready
take it easy

Oliver Getting better and catching up on things. Trace the #4 socket to it's next connecting point the blue yellow striped wire. It should go to some connector by the door hinge. If it does then seperate the connector and do the test as you have been from the center pin on the socket to the machine chassis. If it does not go to 0 then the door wiring is OK. If you get a 0 reading when the connector is seperated then the short is on the door.
