Dear Dave,

Thanks for the info. I would say the JP door isn't closing all the way. Looking in front, I can see a gap in the door. I am attaching two pics. One of the machine and one of the JP box. Is it maybe a spring problem? Or are these movements sensitive to lubrication? Any help most appreciated.

Just to the side of the payout slides there is the jackpot reset bar. This bar moves forward and resets the jackpot after it is hit. Your bar maybe not moving far enough forward or the jackpot reset lever is gummed up and not resetting. It also looks like the spring holding the top flap on the top of the jackpot is too strong or tight. This would explain why you are getting ten or more coins dropping at the same time. That top flap should move open with only 3 or 4 coins on it.
