Northwestern Ohio Matchbook Vending Machine

Postby Carme11a » Mon Mar 07, 2016 9:09 am

I have an antique Ohio Matchbook machine, made by Northwestern, which dispenses two books of matches for a penny. The machine itself is in good condition, but the lock (Rockford - about an inch square) needs to be replaced. It is possible it just needs a key. Does anyone have a replacement part?

Hi Carmella, let me know what the key code on the back of the lock is and I may be able to get you a copy.

George, thank you for the suggestion. There is no key code on the lock. With the exception of "Rockford/??mfg/USA" the lock is plain. Carme11a

Carmella, in that case, your best bet would likely be to take it to a locksmith. Those old locks are usually fairly easy to re-key.
Good luck, George.
