Superfluous springs or not? Mills Castle Front

Postby Richard13 » Sun Apr 24, 2016 10:46 am

Almost ready to "close the case" on this project but have two unknown springs to nowhere. Can anyone offer their two
Cents worth and tell me what these are/were for or can they be removed? One
Is up top by coin box on right side of interior of case. Screwdriver pointing to it.

Second spring on interior of base way up front would be under jackpot but my fat hands probably can't
reach in there unless the metal base is removed first.

As always any and all help is appreciated.

Looking for survivor machines especially vendor fronts or original side vendors with or without
a machine. 1920's-30's goosenecks, round escalators. I enjoy hand painting the castings.

The one buy the coin box I have no idea and have never seen. The one on the bottom is for the fan stop lever and is not needed unless you have or install the fan stop lever

Thank you very much I don't know what a fan stop lever is and if the other spring is unknown
then I will just leave them both in there for the next guy that owns this machine to speculate
on their use! Can't believe it the darn thing works and pays as it should I was positive that
With all the times I had the slides out they would have gotten mixed up.

Thanks to everyone that read my posts and offered input and advice this is a great forum!

About the spring near the coin box ,it’s a spare part .
I think that you have all this parts inside your Front castle.

And think that you have this Escalator.

And the spring goes here! It’s for separate the coins and the token with a hole on the middle!

Please ,give more photos of your Front castle !!
