Mills FOK vendor knob question

Postby Richard13 » Sun May 01, 2016 3:17 pm

Before I get all he man over this and get my big hammer out does anyone know if the pin
holding the vendor knob on the metal shaft is tapered or straight? I can get it to go this
far with a pin punch and small tinkers hammer. I have soaked it two days now with wd40
and can punch it back in place but this is all she goes.

Might have to drill baby drill it out? Hope not, any knowledge shared is appreciated, oh and that's
Not me messing up the cabinet....

Thanks for looking.
Looking for survivor machines especially vendor fronts or original side vendors with or without
a machine. 1920's-30's goosenecks, round escalators. I enjoy hand painting the castings.

Thanks Mike I always do things the hard way but since joining this site and having the abundance of
knowledge at my disposal is great. Now I will pound it back the other direction lol!!
