Jennings Cheif Coin Drop Issue

Postby petcmc » Fri Jun 17, 2016 5:15 pm

Hi all

I have a 1946 Jennings Chief light up.

Was working fine then i noticed that it was dropping coins on non award reel spins. At this point coin tube is empty, put a coin in spin and coin drops. I did notice a small bolt in coin drop area.

any ideas or do i call the slot mechanic and pay for a visit??

thanks

Check your lowermost horizontal finger (the lever that gets pushed outwards by the first cherry vertical finger, to free the bottom coin slide on a payout): it could be stuck in open position, dangling or unsprung. That can leave the machine in payout mode on every pull.

I was schooled on that malfunction several years ago on this very forum. 8)
