Now Jeff, you should know better than that! Regardless of how old or new the machine is, and the laws of each state, leaving the premises
with take home coins, is subject to being fitted with a nice pair of chrome handcuffs. Also, if the law was really stiff in that town, they could
toss in a charge of bribery as well, for feeding you. You know, like the Casino does with drinks, to keep you shoveling cash into the machine.
Speaking of which: There was a fellow here in California, many years ago, (and I don't remember what our law was at the time, because it
was originally that the machines had to be 1941 or older. Then a few years later it was changed to 1956 or 1957, then later again, to the
machines having to be 25 years or older). Regardless, he was having regular gambling parties at his home, and also selling newer repro, and
electro-mechanical machines to whomever. The law got wind of it, and he was raided. They confiscated hundreds of machines. New and old,
including his entire collection of older ones. It took him many court appearances, and boo-cu dollars, to retrieve his old stuff. Many of which
he had to sell, to recoup court and attorney costs. That's only one of several similar stories that I have heard over the years.
