mills skill stop system

Postby JHSS-1944 » Sat Jul 23, 2016 11:52 pm

Hello to all;
Would any one have some photos of the skill stop button system / parts ?

bought a Mills goose neck version roman head slot (awhile back) but, about half of the parts for the skill stop missing.
it's the "on top" button type.
I think I might have to make these missing parts. I do have the patent artwork of it = july 1928/ 1931, & the march 1929/ 1932 version; but only an overview of the whole thing.

need a few images, with an estimate on sizes of the parts OR something to help relate the sizes.

thank you.

I have a skill stop machine Mills castle front the guts inside might be the same come on over and you can take it apart look it over and get an ideal of what will work.
Looking for survivor machines especially vendor fronts or original side vendors with or without
a machine. 1920's-30's goosenecks, round escalators. I enjoy hand painting the castings.

Well, mine is missing the side bracket (screwed to the frame), the shaft, the 3 pieces below the buttons , & maybe something else (?) near the base. I'll have to look again.

Richard , I'll talk to you soon....... (go to bed).

Stephane ; Thank you very much for these Great photos !!!!!
exactly what I was hoping for !!

can you give me the rough size estimate on part #1263 ( stop bar) Not shown),how tall ?
I should be able to make something very close from these photos for my slot machine.

can you Please give length of part # 1262 ( stop lever connection) ?? if I get this correct , the rest will be easier to modify to fit & work.

WOW ! Thank you again Stephane.
Best regards; Jeff H.
