You have a Jennings Operator Bell that came out in 1926 and preceded their jackpot models that came out in 1929.
Unfortunately, the serial number lists have few dates, but you may be able to extrapolate an approximate date based on your serial number.

Were you a gunner on an aircraft?

Good morning, no I was a Gunner's Mate in the Navy, worked on a missile system.

The serial number is 61234 also on the goose neck instead of having the coin denomination it has
PAT'D
JAN,17*22

The only place it says the denomination is on the award card.

Thanks for the help folks!

Gunner;

My estimate: Your machine was produced in the 2nd half of 1928.

I base that on the following:
The hobby's leading historian (D. Bueschel) states that, for your model;
"A typical serial is around 51,000."
For the Jack-Pot Dutch Boys, "serials seem to start around 62,000 ......."

This would indicate your machine was toward the end of the line for non-jackpot "Dutch Boy" Operator Bells.

Thank you sir! I appreciate you looking this up for me! Now if I get a reply from the Detroit Yacht Club I will have a great tie in for the history of this guy!

I heard back from the Detroit Yacht Club Historian, as far as he knew there was never any slot machines in the club (really? In the roaring 20's?) and it would have been a violation of their land lease with the city. Glad to know Detroit has a great history of not doing anything illegal. <sigh> Anyway it looks like my trail grew cold . . . .
