oh yea, you have the roto !! forgot the name , remember the images.
then teasing me with the mills, then show the Caille. very nice one too. lucky you.

the "plate" over the pay out area ,might be just that , a plate added . no cutting needed, just take the screws out. pull the casting off the wood to see.
it should still pay out as it was intended. instead of coins to the regular pay out area , into a tube that goes through the base & comes out much lower on it's original stand. bigger tin box type thing. intended to make more noise when the coin travel that longer distance & crash into this tin box. Everyone knows you won something.
photo of the front on the mechanics (taken out ) & a photo of the very bottom of the wood cabinet, where the holes would be will help tell the story.
so "5" parts for the j.p., 1 cash box, 1 coin slide ( to) ,1 pay out cup = might be it.

1 like this up for sale currently. no j.p. ,& 2 holes in the base bottom (in Calli).

Thanks for the help. Checked it out and it was welded on to cover the hole for the pay out. I'm going to start restoring the roto slot first then get on the high top.
Thanks

Probably so. Here's an interesting thread about slots that had the payout tray in the cabinet beneath the machine. Apparently set up that way so someone couldn't run a wire up through the payout slot and trip the jackpot. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3075
