Cleaning Casting - What to Use

Hello Group,
What do you guys use to clean and/or polish castings that done get paint. I have the casting very clean... But, they are very dull. Kinda have a White haze to them. I don't want a mirror finish. I'd just like a little better than dull looking. Currently working on a late 20's - early 30's Mills.

If they are aluminum you can use the same stuff they use on aluminum wheels on cars. Give it a nice finish and overly glossy. Aluminum Wheel Polish.
