I have had one of these games for years, and it is super-fun to play. Rather simple, but fun. Not sure who dreamed up the Giepen name.
This machine, was made by Auto-Bell Novelty around 1957, which is a follow-up of the original Atlas Games "Tilt Test" from 1947, which
carried the model through to 1957, with a slight case change, using the same exact Formica covered wood case design.
Although not as impressive looking as earlier games, it is best to leave this machine in it's original state. By making any case changes would
ruin it's collector value. This one is in nice original condition, so just enjoy it.
There are two of these on eBay at present. The first asking insane money, at $1,599.99, and the other, equally insane at $1,299.99 Where
do people come up with these prices? The realistic value range for this model, would be more in the $350 to $550 range, depending on condition.
Hopefully you are in that range with yours.
