7-7-7 "conversion"

Postby edgeCity » Fri Jun 09, 2017 8:52 pm

As a result of my ongoing failure to acquire a reasonably priced Mills 7-7-7 HiTop, I am considering converting my 'plain Jane' Jewel Bell nickel machine.

Does anyone have any experience with such a task? My limited knowledge tells me that I need to replace the reel disks and the reel strips, add a token dispenser,
as well as an 'award detection lever' (to handle the 7-7-7 award). I think this is an eBay for the reel disks (as best a I can tell from my Parts List):

The reel strips may be hard to find, as I want ones with the black background.

. . . anyway, any thoughts/cautions/ideas/tips would be most welcome.

Thanks!
Nelson
