cutting steel flat keys

Postby Rick-okc » Mon Aug 28, 2017 3:52 pm

I bought a few old locks the other day that are missing their keys.
I recently talked to my local locksmith and he found a key that halfway works (shown) on one of the locks.
After talking to him, I bought a few key blacks.
I was wondering how hard it is to make new steel flay keys? I'd like to try and make keys for the other two locks.
Has anyone got any experience cutting steel flat keys?
