I can offer help or purchase your machines if you want to sell them. I collect, but also sell Macines out of our antique mall. Give me a call. Ted.

This doesn't seem to be the sales section of the forum, Ted. And I'm politely declining to call you.

Please post a couple of pictures of your machines.
I have three of the Bursting Cherry's, and that is the extent of my "collection".
My grandchildren love to play them.
Fix them up and enjoy them.

Photos help like I said earlier and also maybe post where you are so if someone is close by you might be able to glean some knowledge from having them come look and advise or assist in refurbishing.

My cherry is very like the one on the left of your pic.

I don't know if I'm doing picture sharing right or not. Probably not.

I've attempted two BBcode image tag posts. Do they work?

Both of my machines have had cards saying "see attendant for jackpot" placed in front of the jackpot hopper, behind the glass. Both machines also have a spring that's landed to a loop on the baseplate casting, but not connected to anything. Both machines also have, just to the left of the jackpot slider, a shaft that has a cotter pin hole in it that's presumably for another slider or lever that I don't have.

Here's a picture of the location in question.

I'm thinking that the missing pieces are related to some function of the jackpot payout mechanism?

Well, I received my Mills Slot Machines manual from Liberty Bell the other day. I read through it while looking at the mechanism and decided to go ahead and strip it down.

I'm having one of those "WTF have I gotten myself into" situations. But, with the manual and some replacement parts I think it'll be fun.
