Vest Pocket Reel removal

I’m afraid I’ll go down a rabbit hole and can’t get out.
I removed front plate to free the shaft upon which the wheels are mounted. Then the nut on the back side... looked like the whole assby would then slide out. Not so?
Should I just remove each wheel and retaining ring from shaft?
Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
