1905 Wizard Clock

I have one and it worked pretty good for a while.
Then, I am embarrassed to say, I was tinkering with it and cause the clock spring to pop out and uncoil. I have no idea how to recoil the spring.
Would appreciate anyone responding that might could help.
I could load pictures if that would help.
