You are right. This is not an "All Star Comet". This model is more commonly known by either "Deluxe
Chrome Comet", or just "Chrome Comet". Or, in the case of the painted cases, just "Deluxe Comet".
are we getting confused yet? Most of these 1940's models, have the date stamped into the star
casting, on the left side of the case, i.e. 1946, 1947, 1948, etc. Not all machines are date stamped.
