Fake or Real War Eagle

I always assumed the a single cherry payout was a reproduction machine.
on ebay at present there is a Mills War Eagle that looks pretty legit to me.
Does anyone know if there was an original Mills War Eagle that had a single Cherry Payout???????

I have never seen a legit single cherry pay War Eagle

First , this specific slot been up for sale a L O N G time.

I thought the war eagle was discontinued by Mills ,before Mills introduced the single cherry pay out ?? but stuck my head in a book ,might not.
I thought the introduction of the single cherry pay out by Mills was 1940 or 1941 (?)... could be wrong.

war eagle first out Jan.1931. with the 2 small window type jack pot.
the "yellow front" (as Mills called it) out Oct. 1937 ,also introduced at same time was the side vendor.had a different 1 large window jack pot .
1940 introduction of the "Brown war eagle".
Feb. 1943 introduction of the "Chrome war eagle".
1943 introduction of the " Gold chrome war eagle".
not sure if I've ever seen any of the last 3 types , I may have & don't realize it. assume it's just a paint job , maybe similar to the Diamond front paint jobs ?
anyone have any photos?
