Hi everyone. My uncle is selling a Mills golden nugget slot machine that plays on $0.25. He said he purchased it when he went to Vegas about 25 years ago. I suspect this is a reproduction. Does anyone have any expertise on this matter looking at the attached pictures? Any thoughts on value? I thought it would be nice for my rec room. Many thanks. I have a side view pic if that helps.

HI

Its a repro. Nice looking and with the stand I would say $800-1000 for it.

Before calling it a fake machine you should double check the whole machine including the mech. It may in fact be a legit machine just converted into a fake Golden Nugget. Depending on how many holes are in the bottom casting will determine if it was converted from a black cherry which will only have 2 holes one top right the other bottom left, or a Golden Falls which will have 4 evenly space holes in the lower casting. The mech if it is green is not original more like a late model Sega mech. without ics it is hard to say for sure. So the Golden Nugget is fake but the machine may still be original in all other respects and could be converted back.
