I wonder if anyone has ever seen this version of the War Eagle? It's loaded with large Georgivs UK Pennies which appear to be about the same size as a US half dollar, the coins are inserted at the top. I was told the top represents an open snakes mouth. I would be grateful if anyone can tell me anything about this machine.

Should be able to use half dollars if you have this in the states. Also it is called a Fish Mouth. Many of the War Eagles wore on the finish and no one had the patients to paint all the small areas so they either let them go or sprayed them in a solid color like yours. I'm sure they all left the factory with the standard colors. Seeing that it can be used for Half Dollars many in the states would go nuts for that machine. I know I would. Rick B

The export Extraordinaries that went to the British market had different top castings, and maybe even more than one version, so anything unusual about it is probably explained by that. I don't remember seeing a fishmouth War Eagle before, but there are others who could tell you better than I, whether that is unusual.

Thanks to all of you who have provided info. With it I was able to learn a few more things, specifically about Firman & Samson Novelty Co. Ltd. in the UK.
