You are right the discount is not that steep!
There are some differences in your receipt I pointed out below as well!
There may be other variables also but FedEx is still the safest way to ship in my book!
I have been in the local UPS facility and watched things fall off the conveyor belt on unloading from the semi!
The wardrobe double walled box cut down to the size needed for a slot machine uses a smaller foot print as to shipping and I am not sure where their price break is on physical size as physical size determines shipping cost as well!
Actual handling charges for packaging could have been more for some reason!
Who knows?
At this point "It is what it is", right?
You received it and are happy with condition it was received in so that is a definite perk!

Monti is correct.

I once saved about $150 on a FedEx box by making the box 1 inch narrower.

I don't know what the magic number is though. If you call FedEx they can probably tell you.

Hello Dave!
Been a while since we spoke!
On my FedEx invoices they say "we calculated your charges based on a dimensional weight of 137.0 lbs., 33" x 25" x23" using a
"Dimensional Factor" of 139"
Whatever the heck that means! LOL
Sounds like a lawyer wrote that!
