This is a lock and a slot subject but I combined them, for fun.
Monti gave me some good info on how these machines got the way they did but I thought I'd post a picture of it for all to see.
It's in very clean condition but clearly some significant things were done to this machine. It seems like it was in this "Eddies fabulous 50's" place as late as the 80's and I'm curious if it was in this condition... just mechanical, no lights etc mounted on the larger cabinet as Monti explained to me. I'd like to find out more about that casino. I'm wondering if they just revamped these old 60's machines just as a novelty but as functioning slots? At some point in time though, a place called "Ancient Slots" acquired it and must have added the smaller box to mount it on.
My other issue is, like an idiot, I accidentally snapped off the head of the nice Illinois lock co DUO lock on this. The key will still work using the head to turn it once the key part is in. There's no number on the key unfortunately. So far the locksmiths here in So Cal are a bunch of morons (ok not all!) and some don't even know about these type of locks.
Can ANYONE out here make a copy from my key pieces?
I'll add a couple more pictures when I get home.
