The seller clearly is not a big time fleabay seller and doesn't know about slots.
I saw the original listing and it was way over the top; the revised listing is still misleading, but not as laughable as the first one.

I asked him about the reason for revising it and here is his response:

"I didn’t do the necessary research prior to listing it. I took the word of the persons getting rid of it. I was bombarded with messages from eBay users telling me it wasn’t from 1948.
I’m not sure of its origin, I was given a number of items from a storage unit to sell on eBay for a family friend.
I think it will stay under 1k, and not paying shipping is always a plus!
Regardless of everything, it’s a sweet machine and it looks incredible."

Perhaps some of our Forum members were among those who "bombarded" him.
