The strips are Jennings. The only things that were changed were the top casting and the decals. Silver King left the Jennings "J" front casting and vender as-is. I love the decal in the reel window. They pushed hard to insist this was totally legal. No risk, full value for money. The 'war tax' mentioned in the decal ran from the end of WWI to July 3, 1924. So this was clearly an early 1920s machine. It's all original except the locks and the mint rolls.

I agree very cool decal ! As well as one great looking machine . Not to many of these old goodies left to find out there .

I agree , nice added decal. I only asked since some switched out the strips , some never did , other from time to time.
1 I saw was a Jennings ,revamped by Rock-Ola , revamped again by Sheffler Bros..... but only in the reel strips
Some Rock -Ola's have the strips ,or the award cards with their name on them. some have both ,or neither switched.

And actually I've recently seen more 1920's era Jennings up for sale lately, factory & revamps , then ever before. most out of the wood work & needing some tlc. And the prices all over the map.

Sam2002 , how big (or bigger) is the J.P. on this one ??? these weren't that big to start with on these revamps.

Never seen another gooseneck in 50 cent before !

Hi Sam:
Am I to believe that this is the same fifty center, from May of this year, that had light blue
painted castings, and wood side panel centers? It sure looks like it, when I checked details
in my photo files. If so, nice clean up job. You didn't over-do. Looks like it should. =D>

Jeff:
You are right. There are not many Jennings 50c Goosenecks. Revamped or otherwise. I do have some earlier
35mm photos of fifty cent goosenecks, and a couple on digital. All are revamps, except two. One is a really
fancy revamp, and not sure who did it. But it is similar to some Roberts Novelty revamps, but better looking.
