Wanted, first trade stimulator

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum. I have been collecting pinballs and arcades, along with a slot and other unique items and find myself drawn to the trade stimulators.
I'm looking for a groetchen zephyr, I love the way they look but open to others. Really want a gumball style. Looking for something not restored, I like the used old look. I definitely am a tinkerer so don't mind a project as long as it is complete or parts are available.
I would also be interested in a blackjack style too.
Not sure if these are realistic wants but figured I'd check here.
I've been stalking eBay and found a few but prices seem to go crazy sometimes.

Thanks all
Mike

Also wondering if anyone has a Peo baseball trade stimulator. My son was showing me one he saw online and wants us to get one. Is this a hard to find one?

Mike:
Just make sure that whatever Peo or Pace Whirlball games that you are looking for, is not one
of the many Reproductions that are on the market all the time. Too many collectors have been
snookered. The Pace "Whiz-Ball" & "Base-Ball" remakes from the 1990's, (whom I know the person
that did them), always advertised exactly what they were, and were priced very reasonable. I
think the price then, was around $235. Many of these, have a large serial number stamped in the
edge of the rear base board. About 500 or so, of the earlier Remakes were not stamped.
The problem now, are many people that are reselling them, are not saying what they really are,
and have inflated prices on them. If you are satisfied with a Repro, and pay accordingly, that's up
to you. But if you want an original, buy it old & dirty.
Also take into consideration, that a seller may not realize that they had bought a Repro.

Ok thanks, are the originals hard to come by? Or super expensive?

There are originals for sale, every so often, but you have to know exactly what you are looking at,
especially if it has been restored, or worse yet, repainted the incorrect colors. Depending on condition,
most originals are in the $500 to $600 area, realistically.
If you see something you are interested in, and can post pics here, I will try my best to identify
it for you.
Some machines have also had the wrong name casting replaced on top. There were many different models
of these Whirl-Ball & Flip-Ball games, made by several manufacturers, and you have to know exactly which
configurations are correct. I am familiar with most of them.

Thanks for the info, I've been looking around and haven't found any but definitely did not know about fakes. I'll let you know if I find one. I'm going to search some auctions now
