Hello;
I picked this up recently, an H.C.Evan's coin entry system. but, this one is different than most you see. takes up to 5 coins (most are 7 coins) & this has the option of 5 cent ( 3 holes ) or 25 cent (taking up the other 2 holes).
I only seen 1 ad so far stating a "5 coin head" , & that was on the Evans' lucky lucre (console slot machine). but I found actually photos of a few ,which actually have the 7 head. none of the Evan's machines ads state or seen any photos of any Evan's machine with a 2 denomination choice.

Any clue which machine this Might be for?

Jeff:
This H.C.Evans 5c-25c combo coin head, was used on the "Black Diamond" and "Casino Bell Sr." models.
There could be others, but those are the only two that I have records of at this time.

Bill ;
thank you very much for your reply. I thought I had heard the casino bell , was a similar set up as the lucky lucre.
I did find a black diamond sales ad but, was low quality to make it out the coin head assembly.
I don't actually need it but, bought it reasonably priced. knew it was oddball enough too.
the seller stated he bought it (and other items) from an estate down south, the original owner was a slot repairman from the 1940's till the 1960's.
also said ,he would send me photos of the other parts , which were also for sale.
my bang tails does have a slight coin entry issue, partially why I bought this one.

Again Bill, thank you for this information.

Jeff:
I found another bit of info, since last night.
Not only did the "Casino Bell" have the five-way coin head with 3 nickel & 2 quarter.
They also had a version with five-way coin head, all nickel. Amazing what one comes
up with, when you start eyeballing things a bit closer. When I see things like this, it
always makes me wonder just how many of each they produced.

Bill;
how correct. H.C.Evans was around for a long time, made tons of different things but, most here on this forum may say who ?
Granted most were big console type machines. And when searching for photos of some models (even regular slot machines), you find a whole lot of nothing. Plus their sales ads don't mention options like this for a machine.

The seller said it was for a Mills slot machine. I didn't say anything different till, I had it in my hands. he apologized for the wrong info. . I said I knew what it was, no problem for me but, other missed out on it.
It's a shame no one back then cared enough to want to save information , like production numbers.
No doubt,someone has this machine not working & needs this part. who knows, thousands of this machine made, then after it out lived it's use , dragged to landfills. far fewer today as a result.
thank you again !!

H.C Evens was a company that was originally a Carnival Supply Company, many of the games you saw on the Midway's were created by this company,in the early 1950's they brought out the first Ten Strike bowling game, later made famous by such companies as Gottlieb and Rock-Ola who also built them under license from H.C Evens.

The head that Jeff as, was designed for their 7 coin Black Diamond console, (See attached pictures) they added the 25 cent play that was a brilliant feature to a game that was mainly used on 5 cent play only.

Sorry, my last quote read 7 coin head, it should have read 5 coin head. Also a few more pictures. Even's even bought the Mills Novelty Company Jukebox Division, and produced jukeboxes.

Thank you again Freddy for the information & specially the images !! I couldn't find a photo of the black diamond machine, just the ads.
always liked the portable candy race track they made. now the ,"park your own car" is really cool !! never seen before.
the seller might have the face plate for this still. He bought a bunch of parts , he's still sorting & separating all of it out.
thank you again !!
