Futurity in LV Auction

Too bad the auction company did not have the, uh, courtesy in stating the machine was missing the Futurity portion of the mechanism when they put the machine up on E-Bay.

Dave,

I agree. Some items they did say was reissue or had damage. Much more than they did in the past. How much of this made it through to the internet I don't know. Sounds like not much. I was not there when the
Futurity was sold and don't know what was said. In the past when Arrington had the auction the auctioneer would say every time before starting, no internet then, "Everthing is sold as is where is and all of you have had ample time to inspect the merchandise and you know what you are bidding on." The auctioneer I liked the best used to say, " Assume everything has some flaws and bid accordingly."
