Pictures of several slots that are in Inman auction

Editor's note: The auction is over so I have indicated what the final price was. The price does not indicate the buyer's premium of 10% - 15%

Here are several photos of what I consider the more interesting slots. Feel free to comment and for those who are brave, venture a guess on what the item will bring. I also included a picture of a War Eagle that I think is a reproduction. What do you think? Is it real or is it fake? The auction listing does not say it is fake.

Are there any arcade collectors in this forum? If so, I would like to here their comments on the arcade pieces.

Dave,

The War Eagle appears to have the wrong handle repro base or entire cabinet plus new strips and gold plated castings. Looks repro to me. The Treasury appears to have repro strips and the gold award eagle is off of a vender front and does not belong on a coin front. Unless you can inspect in person I would assume no gold award mech. Wonder if it is a gold award bundle?. I'm guessing the Mills Scarab goes for
$25,000 to $30,000. Superior Horse Race $30,000 to $40,000. Caille Black Cat $75,000. Caille Big Six $25,000 to $30,000. The sleeper could be the Hoke Snake.

WB:

Regarding the gold award on the Treasury? Are you saying that gold awards do not belong on the coin front? I have seen some coin front models that do have the gold award front with the gold award reel strips.

I once talked to DeBaugh about this very subject and he confirmed that some were made (but very few). I have a picture of one if anyone is interested. I think he said about 1% (maybe it was 10%) of the Treasury Coin Fronts were gold award. In any case, they are in the minority.

Here are my guesses at what stuff will bring.

Aristocrat: $27,000
Benhur: $6,000
Blackcat: NAC (Not a Clue)
Brownie: $4,500
Big Six: NAC
Cherry Front RAT: $7,500
Dewey Double: NAC
Elk: NAC
Hoke Snake: $28,000
Mills Dice: $12,500
OK Gum Vendor: $11,000
OK Gum Vendor Console: $12,000
War Eagle: $800
Blue RAT (missing hardware): $1,500
Scarab: $25,000
Silver Cup: $21,000
Superior Horse Race: $14,000
Treasury: $8,500 if it is a complete working gold award model. Otherwise $4,500

My prices do not include the juice.

I think the Mills Dice wil be the sleeper. Mills Dice are a lot mor rare than Bones and a lot more interesting. They are also a lot more complicated and finding one that works properly is not easy to do. In my opinion, a working Mills Dice should easily be worth more than a Bones.

Dave,

No, I'm not saying gold awards don't belong on coin fronts. I have a 50 cent coin front with gold award. The are two different gold award eagles. One for coin fronts and one for vender fronts. The one on the Treasury belongs on a vender front and not a coin front. The gold award eagle on the coin front looks just like the eagle on the non GA coin front except there is an oval hole in the middle. Over the weekend I'll send a picture of the coin front GA casting. Thanks.
