Coin Insert and Re-Chroming

I have taken apart my Jennings Standard Chief to get the top casting re-chromed. There is an insert to accept dimes and nothing bigger. Does this insert come out easily? Is it pressed or glued? I'm hesitant to try to "tap it out." I'll attach 2 pictures. Thanks in advance for any help.
