I talked to the guy who bought it. Nice guy, relatively new collector. He said he was going to take the Pace Double to a guy who restores machines and get all the castings on the Double plated [-X

I told him that would be a BIG mistake. He said be bought a single Royal Comet a while back and took it to this guy and he plated all the castings during the restoration.

I told him he needs to get on the forum.

Wonder if this buyer took your advice as yet, and has joined our Forum?
Guess we'll never know, till the member list gets unlocked, and advances to page 31?

I think i was the only europeon there!
nice to see some familiar faces and put a name too a good a few more.
Had dinner date with Dave , shame no one else showed up for the meet and greet.
Flew over from UK as never been to a US slot collectors auction and wanted to tick a box on my bucket list.
I Wasn't dissappointed and had a great time!!
I may bring another British collector who is not on this forum with me to a future auction?
Prices were strong but i only collect stuff from the 20s and 30s so i managed to come away with a few pieces that were reasonably priced.

hello nigel, randy from the ACMCA in california. we had a couple interesting conversations at the auction. i picked up a few counter games and bought 4 console extraordinary machines from the guy i stayed with when i went to the auction, and a bally reliance from the guy i took with me, so i suppose i'm a collector again. i was prepared to spend a lot at the auction, but didn't see that many "bargains". hope to see you at the next one.

Hey VW Randy
Yes I remember you, I have your card.
Glad it worked out well for you.
wow, four console extraodinary's, guess they were all different denomination?
The reliance sounds good, hope you got a deal?
I think Dice machines are still going for too much money at the moment.
I got the RAT console at the auction, missed out on the Caille commander console, too rich for me.

hope to see you again some time.

i liked that commander too. yes, the consoles were 5 10 25 and 50c. i already have 3 of them, but i DO love my consoles. also got a chinese front 5c and the pace royal 50c. i don't know if i EVER had 9 consoles at one time, but i'm lookin' for more. i DID get a good deal on the reliance, and it has been gone through by a VERY good slot mechanic, so it works flawlessly....i had my hand up a lot, but others were too often willing to pay more than me....... talk to you later.
