Springs for the 1936 Mills Extraordinary Console

Postby Mills Extra Con » Wed Feb 08, 2017 6:19 pm

Hello All,

Having just successfully found a replacement lock, I will now turn my attention to the task of finding the springs I will need.

I have just started dismantling the Mills Extraordinary and have found that many of the smaller, more delicate springs are missing. I have found a couple of places where I can potentially buy springs (Lee springs and Century Springs), but I don't know what size (internal and external diameter, length, wire thickness) the missing springs are. Does anyone have a parts list or inventory of the springs needed? I know that the list would vary by machine. Has anyone encountered this issue before? Any ideas or suggestions? Any other suggestions on where to get springs?

Regards,

Marc

all springs for slots, exact size and correct tension are available from dave berten.
he and his dad have been in the slot spring biz for decades.
no phone... he will not answer.
email only.

he is honest, but, be aware he has a life, and a family, so, he may not respond immediately.
i believe everyone on this site will vouch for him.
he is also a good source for many parts. request a catalog with your order.
there is also a "parts for sale" section on this website.
take time to look through it.
there are good things listed there.
