Hello;
I was just offered this slot machine locally. looks to be 1960's by Nutt, Muddle & Sons. claim; 25 cent machine ,works but need new cord to have the lights working.
any one ever heard of this company before ???
the pay out does look to be typical U.S. this 1 photo only (for now). implies ,all mechanical.

Hi Jeff,
Nutt and Muddle were an Australian manufacturer in the 1960's, they produced Jubilee products, they were a substantial company second only to Aristocrat. They had a strong British presence

o.k. thank you again for the information Freddy !
this one is up for sale locally for $150.00. all mechanical ,except the lighting system. this one needs a new power cord ,as the seller told me.

any idea ,why this has U.S. denominations on it... sold in the U.S. (which was heavily saturated with companies) , or possible made for U.S. military base use (like Sega) ??? I'm not going to buy it, but had to look it over , talk to the seller & Gain more information about it here.
her husband got it from his father years ago , who owned it for many years.
looks very nice, & nice it's a 25 cent machine.

The 25c Us is similar to UK Shilling and 10c Aus. Maybe

Machine is simply x10c Aus with original Aus $ artwork?

I have x4 reeler jubilee Riviera on original x10c Aus and

It accepts UK Shilling and x25 c US.

The Chicago machine has a cool Jackpot feature. The two jackpot payout tubes alternate for a consistent payout. These machines are work-horses and very dependable. While not highly sought after, they make a great basement machine or a nice entry level machine...

nice to see others. yes that J.P. system is very nice.
first 1 price o.k. but , the reel strips didn't match. 2nd one price to high (to me).
on the local one here (Phoenix), the rest of the "glass" has cash payouts all in U.S. dollars of the big wins.
so have my doubts this one was "converted" per sa. who would waste time & $$$ on reworking the glass to help sell a unwanted machine ??

Hello Jeff!
Things were a little bit different in the early 80's as many slots came back from the European Market and were modified for sale here in the US as at that time there was a market for them, Granted, A very small market but they did sell none the less and they were being picked up for such a low cost, at least the guy I knew in Tahoe City picked them up cheap and modified them for sale!
Personally I did not get involved in that as I am more of a purist when it comes to slot machines!
So it is not unusual for these particular slot machines to pop up in today's market at which time they are not worth picking up!
In my opinion anyway!

"For the record" -- here's some further documentation about Nutt, Muddle & Sons, from Bueschel's Lemons, Cherries and Bell-Fruit-Gum, p.257 (sorry, I'm a history bug!).

thank you to Both of you ! I like learning more & both of you just did that.
nice machine by the 3 photos she put up. she had only one originally, I asked for more.
she knows less than I do now. she never said it was all mechanical in the ad either. so to most , it's listed as an old E-M machine ,that takes quarters. well ,locally a lot of E-M machines for sale on CL & offerup. Many never state it works or not , & regardless of the price ,seem to never sell.
her price is real good, but one would assume not working, ect. So might linger around a bit, or forever.
