I was watching a Twilight Zone episode on Sci-Fi channel tonight. The story was in the 1890's and much of the episode was in a bar. In the background was an amazing Mills double Dewey machine that could be seen a number of times!

I thought it would be interesting to see if anyone else out there has noticed vintage machines in movies or television shows.

I have been watching shows for machines, mostly uprights, for years. There are tons of them. The early Wild, Wild, West TV shows had lots. There is a Twilight Zone episode that is well known which has lots of Rol A Tops. The Gun Fighter with Gregory Peck has a row of Caille uprights in the bar. One shot you can read Big Six the shot is so close. I just saw and old John Wayne this morning that had a Mills on the Square. Three Stooges shows from the 30's and 40's that had a western theme almost always had uprights in them. The list goes on and on. Your best bet is to watch 30's and 40's westerns.

TCM just ran "A Slight Case of Larceny" (1953) with Mickey Rooney.

A silly old comedy, but lots of scenes with vending, advertising and gasoline station memorabilia.
One scene has a bank of 5 slots; Extraordinary, Pace, Jennings, and 2 Rol A Tops,
but they didn't prep them very well for the movie: escalators and jackpot windows empty.
