Well, here is something from EBAY that will get you thinking a bit!
A Jenning's Black Hawk with a double coin tube and double pay slide assembly!

https://www.ebay.com/itm/JENNINGS-Black ... hine&rt=nc

Sent a text to him as it was included in the listing and asked if he had any history on this puppy but no response as of yet!
Anyone out there familiar with these?
In the listing he says it is "UNCOMMON" which is a real understatement! LOL

Howdy Sam!
Yes, it is interesting, looks like that cam at the top of the coin tube area alternates the coin tube fill from left to right, or so it looks from the photo!
The award card has increased payouts so maybe the only advantage here was maintaining the coin tubes in a more filled position for the additional coinage payouts!
Not sure how those payout slides function!
In 35 Plus years of doing this I must admit I have never seen one!
Whenever I think I have seen it all, up pops something I've never seen! LOL

I can't remember where I saw this machine with a double tube, I believe it was advertised in a Jennings Flyer or a reprint in a book. What I do remember is that this was a factory option special order for locations that had high play volume and needed an extra pay tube on a machine so that it would not run out of coins in the tube. This is right up there with a Pace Eight Star Bell Machine that was offered with Plexiglass sides so you could see the mechanism working. I saw one of these machines in Butte, Montana in the 1990's. It kind of fell into the category of the second Triplex Jennings that when it was placed in a cabinet eliminated the coin tubes altogether and had a "Coin Slicer" under the mech that paid out all the awards!
In that case brought about by it's taking nickles, dimes and quarters with 2 plays on the dime and five pays on the quarter which had a tendency to drain the coin tube which was a nickle coin tube if quarters were played continually which didn't allow the coin tube to replenish itself enough and would run dry!
Dave, if you run across that literature you mentioned please post it as I have scoured through all my literature and not found anything on the double coin tube Jennings!
Ciao!
