In the past week I picked up 2 Jennings Machines. I'm sure as most of us do when we get a new machine you service and clean it. I'm not sure as to why this screw and washer are in the vertical finger payout cherry position, it's not preventing any payouts, but it's there for some reason so I'm reaching out to the experts to give me some insight. Thanks

Some Jennings machine have a 3 cherry payout with cherries on all three reels. That screw is there because your machine probably does not have a 3 cherry payout. The 3 cherry payout would be the same as a 3 orange payout which is probably 11 coins. It limits how far the finger will move and not trip the 11 coin payout.
